Wired on Love

So my alternate name is 'Wired on Finch-kissing', maybe this could be used by the church for the strength of youth pamphlet. Anyway, I loved doing this one. It was fun.

PackagingTapeDemo

This one was just for fun.

Master Copy

I loved this assignment, and I learned a lot about simulating oil painting. Love Rockwell!

Hide

This was fun to do on the computer. No sticky packaging tape just to get the texture, although I love to scratch the paint off on the real thing. I think I will have fun with this technique when I perfect it a little more.

Gravity

Goddess of Gravity. So I have updated this goddess so that her arm looks correct, her hair is done, her face is more outlined, and I'm pretty much as finished as I'm going to be on this one.... That is until I find time to play with colors. I love scratchboard.

Linolium Block Cut

I love block cut, block cuts my favorite! I can't wait to work on my Illustration Friday piece now! Woohoo.

Crash

This is what happens when a guy 'crashes' a girls night party. Men, don't do it unless you want this to happen to you. :0) As for the assignment end of things. I'm as done as I am going to get!

Digital Oil Painting Demo

Oil painting that I'm not allergic to, now that's what I'm talking about.

Sprout

This is my line and digital painting assignment that is a masterpiece in progress. I had fun with this one after revamping it a few times. I love working with lines and texture.

Blue Hat

Here is my first painting demo. I think I am far too attached to the gaussian blur now, so I might just have to put a limit on it. Otherwise, this painting stuff is fun. I think I'm going to like this, so let's see what I can turn out for this weeks illustration Friday. Cheer!

Red

Please stop looking at this page unless you want to see a cautionary tale of digital illustration. Yikes!!! O.K. this project (and the other prior ones) have been frustrating beyond all reason while trying to use Illustrator and Photoshop. So far I have run into every problem in the book and all the ones not in the book. This image could be cute if I actually knew what I was doing and had a video I could watch on how to do these techniques. Well, in the end I learned that sometimes when life throws you lemons you can end up making lemonade. But mine is bad lemonade. Eventually with enough bad lemonade I will learn how to make it good....that, or adopt a taste for bad lemonade. I also learned that sometimes you just aren't going to be good at everything (sometimes anything) and that's o.k. I'm just going to keep breathing in and out, and trudge on through. It will be better in the end! :0)

Spheres Practise

This is me just playing around with Illustrator. My original didn't make it to this website, but that's o.k. because it gave me more practise using the tools all over again.

Pigtails In CutPaper

This is my first papercut ever! Since everything is new to me in Photoshop I feel like I'm taking baby steps. Well, here is to learning new things one little bit at a time, and then letting miracles happen.
